Cranbury Chiropractic Welcomes Dr. Paul Miller

Dr. Paul Miller"After many months of too many hours behind the wheel, logging up the miles in my job as a salesman, my lower back gave out. When a friend suggested I try chiropractic, I was skeptical. Finally, not wanting to take pain killers just to get through the day, especially being a young man in my twenties, I figured what did I have to lose?”

“I made an appointment with Dr. Ernie Landi. When I walked in to the office I was in so much pain that I couldn't stand up straight. After just a few adjustments, not only was I much more comfortable, I was also standing up again. He not only helped me heal, but he became my mentor. I had an interest in health care in college, but didn’t find a career that suited my beliefs. Being introduced to chiropractic changed everything!”

Dr. Miller began his pre-chiropractic education at Fairfield University and the University of Bridgeport. Soon after he was accepted at New York Chiropractic College. Studies included organic and inorganic chemistry, biochemistry and more intensive course work in anatomy, physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care. After graduating in 1979 he came to Norwalk, Connecticut and founded Cranbury Chiropractic Center, in the Cranbury section of Norwalk.

In October of 1997, Dr. Miller was the first doctor of chiropractic to be invited to lecture on alternative approaches to low back pain to the doctors at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut.

Dr. Miller is married to Pat and they have two teenage sons, Alex and Michael. Both boys enjoy the benefits of having a dad who is a chiropractor; they've been adjusted from birth, never suffered from ear infections or colic as children. (If this sounds interesting, be sure to ask Dr. Miller to explain!)

A firm believer in the basic worth of every individual and in the incredible healing power of the body, Dr. Miller is truly a doctor of the people. He is dedicated not only to helping his patients get well as quickly as possible, but also helping them stay well for a lifetime.

Dr. Paul Asks some important questions of interest to Norwalk residents - Chiropractor Norwalk Dr. Paul Asks...

Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
Why are some people allergic to pollen and others aren't?
It's not the pollen. Chiropractors know that if it were, everyone would be allergic to pollen, nuts and pet dander. But that's not the case. It's the person, not the pollen! If you live in Norwalk and your stress levels are high, then each year the grass, the trees or the weeds put your nervous system over the top. Many report that chiropractic care helps reduce the frequency and severity of their allergic response.
